At the bar Friday night, with our Friday regular guests Karen & Anita from The Tru Blu Politics podcast, we got all got excited when talking about a question asked earlier in the day by our friend Richard Chew - ChewsViews on his radio show.
For his QOTD (Question Of The Day) on Friday, he asked, “What is your go-to song when you need a little pick me up?” And we all had solid answers.
So we thought, “Since it’s the weekend, why don’t we put on the virtual jukebox, and let everyone get a break from politics with a few of our favorite songs?”
So here they are, for your weekend - enjoy!

Karen not only chose her favorite song - she sang some of it live on Richard’s show. We don’t have that audio, but we do have her pick-me-up song & video here:
Anita was able to identify her favorite pick-me-up song right from time she entered the bar Friday night. Gotta say, this one will lift up a lot of folks who might be down.
Everyone knows, The Who is Jody’s all-time favorite band. It also helps that she knows Roger personally. She had to think about it a bit, but her favorite pick-me-up song is from The Who’s album The Who By Numbers:
As usual, Shawn had to go a little outside the lines, saying he had different pick-me-songs depending on his mood. He then said when he’s angry, his current favorite pick-me-up/power-up song is by Mexican rock trio The Warning:
What Shawn didn’t tell us was his favorite pick-me-up song when he’s not angry, which we found out later when we were cleaning up the bar. That song? Is this one, by INXS, and it might also be just what you need:
