Today’s DOTD - Drink Of The Day - A John Daly is an alcohol infused version of the famous non-alcoholic drink the Arnold Palmer.
This boozy version of an Arnold Palmer is punnily named for the golfer who is, shall we say, known to love a good drink. The drink itself actually has some conflict in its history, as well. It’s said to have risen to fame at the Whiskey Creek Golf Course in Fort Myers, Florida, during the Dirty Gator Open, in which Daly competed. Daly was affronted by the use of his name without his permission - so he worked with a beverage company, so he could start selling his own ready-to-drink version of the cocktail.
