A Drink For Fighting Fascism
Today’s DOTD - Drink Of The Day - is the Kir Cocktail, inspired by Canon Felix Kir, a French Catholic priest, & a hero of the French Resistance against the Nazis in World War II. Kir invented this drink during WWII when Nazis confiscated Burgundian wines. Like Kir himself, this drink became a symbol of resistance against the Nazis, and against fascism in general.
